AQUATONE is a collection of Procreate brushes for watercolor, analog-style ink and mixed media illustration. Paint a portrait in soft watercolor washes, give a character a bold ink outline, or combine both in a graphic illustration with a hand-painted feel.
AQUATONE contains 373 brushes and tools for sketching, painting and finishing your artwork. Lay in broad areas of color with fillers, then add blooms, spatter or watercolor stamps. Painted textures scanned from real materials give the marks their irregular character. Blending tools soften transitions, erasers help refine shapes, and 30 paper brushes let you choose the surface texture.
You also get 150 swatches in five Procreate palettes and the Color Guide PDF. Each palette has related Light, Core and Deep tones to help you balance lighter areas, main colors and dark accents. Try a suggested combination from the guide, then adjust the colors to suit your painting.

Watercolor, Ink & Texture
Use these brushes for Procreate to combine loose watercolor washes with drawn lines and paper texture.
- Layer translucent washes or use fillers to paint broad areas and more defined shapes.
- Leave the sketch visible, or add ink linework to define the silhouette of a character, portrait or graphic illustration.
- Place blooms, spatter and irregular painted marks with effect brushes and watercolor stamps.
- Soften a transition with blending tools, refine an edge with erasers, and choose a paper texture for the surface.
Color Palettes & Included Guide
The AQUATONE Color System includes five palettes of 30 colors, with 150 swatches in total. Related Light, Core and Deep tones give you lighter areas, main colors and dark accents from the same color family.
The six-page Color Guide PDF lists every color with its name and HEX value. It also includes three five-color combinations to try. Start with one of those, or mix colors from different palettes.
Procreate Compatibility & Installation
Made for Procreate on iPad. You’ll need Procreate, which is sold separately. An Apple Pencil is recommended for pressure-sensitive drawing.
- Download your files from My Collection and unzip the package on your iPad.
- Open the .brushset and .swatches files in Procreate to import your brushes and palettes.
- Choose a brush set and palette to start painting. Keep the Color Guide PDF nearby for reference.
The files are for Procreate. Photoshop, Affinity and Clip Studio Paint versions are not included.
